New You

YO

Ever wanted that perfect body?

I'm still going for it, and i know alot of others are too.

This post is basically part 2 of my free diet and training advice posted July last year!

I had a good flow of e-mails from you out there! thanks!!

One common question was SIZE....How do i put on SIZE? Whats the best exercise for SIZE?

To those who I replied to, you should now have a better understanding!

To those who didnt email.......

SIZE - Best way to get it, eat right:- like a healthy monster would:- up your protein intake!

Then train heavy:- you know like you need to stop a train with your quads type heavy!

Shorten your rest periods:- when your hearts pumping keep the iron pumping!

I still offer personal training for a pre-disscussed fee ( very reasonable---cheap :D )

Why You Need A Personal Trainer (Even If You Don’t Think You Do)

A guest blog and testimonial by Carly Drew

Tis the season for getting fit. With so many people still carrying that lingering Christmas podge around their mid-section and Valentine’s Day fast approaching, there has been a very noticeable increase in the number of people signing up to and attending gyms. I can smugly say that I was one of those people that started going to the gym before Christmas but only recently have I started ‘attending’ mentally as well as physically.

When I first signed up to the gym, I got given a great overview of all the equipment and how to use it, but left to my own devices I soon found that I was getting bored and not pushing myself nearly as much as I should to get the results I wanted. When you pay a significant amount of money to access a gym, you kind of expect that money to automatically translate to weight loss but unless you put the blood, sweat and tears in, it just won’t happen, no matter how much money you throw at fancy running shoes and expensive membership options.

After coming to the realisation that I was nowhere nearer to my body goals than when I started, I enlisted the help of Matt. The first time I went for a personal training session with Matt, we spent a good amount of time just discussing exactly what I wanted to achieve and how to do it. This is the kind of talk that makes you realise whether a particular personal trainer is right for you and I soon realised that Matt was perfect for me.

Specialising in bodybuilding but with great knowledge in all areas of exercise, Matt quickly made me feel at ease and like my goals were entirely achievable. What I wanted was the body of a female fitness bodybuilder and Matt knew exactly what I needed to do to obtain that physique. After the initial discussion, Matt set me to work and boy, did I work! I did everything from dumbbell flat bench presses to squats and back again! But Matt was with me the entire time, joining in, encouraging me, spotting me when I needed it and most of all, pushing me hard. After an hour with my new personal trainer, I felt exhausted but still eagerly anticipating my next session. Now, several months later, I feel good, I look great, I’m closer to my fitness goals than ever before and I never even glance at the clock when I’m at the gym anymore. Matt not only gives me great personal training sessions ever single week but he’s given me confidence, knowledge and a diet plan that I can comfortably and easily stick to.

Whether you want to train for a marathon, lose weight for a special occasion or join the IFBB, Matt is the personal trainer you really cannot be without. You will feel and see the difference after just one session, I promise you!
